Layaways are available for most purchases.  We do, however, reserve the right to refuse layaways when we deem it appropriate. Any exceptions to the Layaway Terms detailed on this page must be communicated in writing.

Payment Plans:

We require a 20% deposit.  This deposit is non-refundable. We are extremely flexible with regard to the required payment amounts, dates when payments are due, and duration of the payment plan.  We will work with you to accommodate any reasonable request. If you find that you are unable or unwilling to continue with the payment plan, please contact us via e-mail as soon as possible.  Please make certain that you both read and understand all of our Cancellation and Refund Policies (below).

Service/Layaway Charges:

We do not charge additional fees for layaway purchases.

Location of Layaway Animals:

Animals on layaway will be removed from our available inventory.  They will be housed, fed, and cared for in an identical manner to all of our animals. Should the layaway be cancelled, the animals will be returned to our available inventory and offered for sale to other customers.

Identification of Layaway Animals:

Animals on layaway will be uniquely identified.  We will provide you with their specific identification number, sex, genotype, phenotype, and any other relevant descriptive information.

Cancellation and Refund Policies:

You may cancel your layaway purchase at any time before your last payment is made by notifying us via e-mail. In the event that we receive any of your payments more than 14 calendar days after the "payment due" date, we will automatically cancel your layaway purchase, unless we agree to extend the "payment due" date. In the event that we receive 2 or more of your payments more than 7 calendar days after the corresponding "payment due" dates, we will automatically cancel your layaway purchase, unless we agree to extend the "payment due" dates. In the event of cancellation, a cancellation charge equal to the initial deposit will be applied.  Any payments that have been made over and above the initial deposit will be credited towards a future purchase.  No refunds will be given.
